Accessibility Statement

Effective date: 19 August 2026

ShareStoryz GmbH is committed to making the YourStoryz website, dashboard and mobile applications accessible to as many people as possible, including people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive and other disabilities.

We aim to provide an inclusive experience that enables users to create, edit, manage and publish their content independently.

This Accessibility Statement applies to:

  • yourstoryz.com;
  • the YourStoryz dashboard;
  • the native YourStoryz mobile applications;
  • YourStoryz Light;
  • registration, login and subscription pages; and
  • content-creation, editing and publication workflows operated by ShareStoryz GmbH.

Third-party platforms and services connected to YourStoryz have their own accessibility policies and are not fully controlled by ShareStoryz.

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and, where applicable, the accessibility requirements of the European Accessibility Act and relevant European standard EN 301 549.

WCAG defines requirements for making digital content more accessible to people with disabilities. It addresses matters such as keyboard navigation, colour contrast, text alternatives, captions, adaptable layouts, understandable instructions and compatibility with assistive technologies.

The YourStoryz website, dashboard and mobile applications have not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit against WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Their current conformance status is therefore:

Not yet fully assessed against WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

This status does not mean that the Services are inaccessible. It means that we do not yet have sufficient evaluation evidence to claim full or partial conformance across every website, application, feature and supported device.

We are working to identify, prioritise and resolve accessibility barriers.

ShareStoryz takes or intends to take the following measures:

  • consider accessibility during the design and development of new functionality;
  • use semantic headings, labels and interface controls where technically possible;
  • support keyboard navigation for essential website and dashboard functions;
  • provide visible focus states for interactive elements;
  • use sufficient colour contrast for text and essential controls;
  • avoid relying on colour alone to communicate important information;
  • support text resizing and responsive layouts;
  • provide text alternatives for functional and informative interface images;
  • use descriptive labels for form fields and buttons;
  • communicate form errors in understandable language;
  • test important user journeys with automated and manual accessibility checks;
  • consider accessibility when selecting or updating third-party services;
  • review accessibility feedback and include confirmed issues in development planning; and
  • train relevant team members in digital accessibility as appropriate to their role.

YourStoryz enables users and business customers to upload and publish video, audio, images and text. ShareStoryz cannot guarantee that all user-generated content is accessible.

For example:

  • uploaded images may not include text alternatives;
  • videos may not include captions or audio descriptions;
  • spoken content may be unclear or difficult to understand;
  • text embedded in video or images may not be readable by assistive technologies;
  • colour combinations selected by users may not provide sufficient contrast; and
  • linked or embedded third-party content may have accessibility limitations.

Where relevant features are available, users should add or review transcripts, captions, descriptions and accompanying text before publication. AI-assisted transcripts and translations may contain errors and must be checked by the user.

Business customers remain responsible for assessing the accessibility of the content they create and publish, without limiting ShareStoryz’s own responsibilities for the accessibility of its platform.

Until a complete accessibility audit has been conducted, users may encounter limitations such as:

Older or legacy pages

Certain older registration, invitation or authentication pages may not provide the same accessibility support as newer parts of the platform.

We are reviewing legacy pages and intend to replace or improve them as part of ongoing platform development.

Video and audio content

Captions, transcripts or audio descriptions may not be available for every item of user-generated content. Automatically generated transcripts can contain inaccuracies.

If you require an accessible alternative for content provided directly by ShareStoryz, please contact us.

Complex editing functions

Some video-editing, timeline, drag-and-drop or media-management functions may be difficult to operate entirely by keyboard or with certain assistive technologies.

Where reasonably possible, we will investigate an alternative method or provide assistance.

Third-party services

Payment providers, maps, video players, social networks, publication channels and other integrations may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control.

We encourage users to review the accessibility information provided by the relevant third party. Please notify us if a third-party component prevents you from completing an essential YourStoryz task.

Mobile applications and device combinations

Accessibility may vary depending on app version, device, operating system, browser settings and assistive technology. We recommend using a current supported version of iOS, Android or a modern browser.

The accessibility of YourStoryz relies on combinations of technologies including:

  • HTML;
  • CSS;
  • JavaScript;
  • WAI-ARIA where appropriate;
  • native iOS and Android accessibility APIs;
  • video and audio playback technologies; and
  • third-party APIs and embedded services.

These technologies are used together with supported browsers, operating systems and assistive technologies.

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of YourStoryz. Please contact us if:

  • you encounter an accessibility barrier;
  • you cannot complete an essential action;
  • you require information in an alternative format;
  • content supplied by ShareStoryz is inaccessible; or
  • you have a suggestion for improving accessibility.

  • the assistive technology used;
  • a description of the problem; and
  • the format or alternative solution you need.

Do not send passwords or other sensitive authentication information.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five business days and provide an update or proposed solution within a reasonable period, depending on the complexity of the issue.

If an accessibility barrier prevents you from using an essential part of YourStoryz, we will make reasonable efforts to provide the relevant information, assistance or service through an alternative method.

An alternative method may include:

  • written instructions;
  • assistance by email or telephone;
  • an accessible document;
  • a transcript or textual description;
  • support with an essential account or publication action; or
  • another reasonable format agreed with you.

Providing an alternative does not replace our commitment to addressing accessibility barriers in the Services themselves.

If you are dissatisfied with our response, please reply to the original correspondence and ask for the matter to be escalated.

Where applicable law provides an external complaints or enforcement procedure, you may also contact the competent accessibility, equality or market-surveillance authority in your country.

ShareStoryz intends to assess the accessibility of its websites and applications through a combination of:

  • automated accessibility testing;
  • manual keyboard testing;
  • screen-reader and mobile accessibility testing;
  • review of colour contrast, focus order and form labelling;
  • testing of essential user journeys; and
  • periodic external evaluation where appropriate.

The conformance status in this statement will be updated after a sufficiently representative assessment has been completed.
